Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi, one of the most prominent production units of Indian Railways, has released the notification for the recruitment of 374 Apprentice positions under the 47th Batch Act Apprenticeship program. The recruitment drive includes opportunities for both ITI and Non-ITI candidates across multiple trades like Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, Welder, Carpenter, and Painter. The online application process will be open from 05 July 2025 to 05 August 2025, providing aspirants a chance to secure government employment in a prestigious railway organization. Eligibility Criteria and Requirements

Education

For Non-ITI candidates: Must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) with at least 50% marks.
For ITI candidates: Must have passed Class 10th and possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT or SCVT.

Age Limit

Minimum age: 15 years
Maximum age: 24 years (as of 05 August 2025)
Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.

Application Fee

General/EWS/OBC: Rs. 100/-
SC/ST and All Female candidates: No fee

Salary/Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive stipend as per the Apprentices Act and Railway Board guidelines.

Selection Process

Selection will be merit-based:

• Non-ITI: Based on marks in Class 10th
• ITI: Combined average of marks in Class 10th and ITI
