RRB Level 1 Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 22195 Posts Across Indian Railways

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have released Centralised Employment Notice No. 09/2025 for the recruitment of eligible Indian citizens to 22195 vacancies in Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. These posts include Track Maintainers, Gatemen, Helpers, Assistants in various departments (Electrical, Mechanical, S&T, etc.), and others across multiple RRBs. The initial pay for all posts is ₹18,000/-. Online applications are open from 31 January 2026 and will close on 02 March 2026 (11:59 PM). Selection involves a Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• 10th Pass OR
• ITI from recognized institutions OR
• National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• General (UR): 18 to 33 years
• OBC (NCL): 18 to 36 years
• SC/ST: 18 to 38 years
• PwBD: Additional 10 years relaxation

Salary

Initial Pay: ₹18,000/- per month (Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix)

Selection Process

• Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) – 100 Questions, 90 minutes
• Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Stage 3: Document Verification
• Stage 4: Medical Examination

CBT Exam Pattern

• General Science: 25 Questions
• Mathematics: 25 Questions
• General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 Questions
• General Awareness & Current Affairs: 20 Questions
• Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD without scribe)
